Feature Request: Uptime for Connection
Hi, atm gargoyle seems to display the uptime of the router on the status page. That information isn't relevant all that much to me. I personally would like to see the time the current connection (pppoe in my case) has been up. That would make it easier to troubleshoot what caused network troubles if...

Re: "Remote Web Admin Access" setting not saved.
First of all I would try a clean install of the latest bleeding edge firmware, not the last beta. There were alot of issues fixed since then. All the things that you mentioned work here on my 54gl with one of the later firmwares - so maybe an update will solve your troubles. Btw: I would try a clean...

Re: Qos rules lost on "save changes"
Unfortunately no corrupt data there - all the upload stuff was just gone  . Thanks for the upload, that saved me some time getting stuff back up and running again :) Btw: One thing I noticed. Not only were the settings all gone but the "hidden" status of the helper text was reset - ...

Qos rules lost on "save changes"
Hm, not sure how this happened or what actually went wrong - but after playing around a bit with my qos rules and upon pressing the save changes button and then later reloading that page - I lost all my qos rules. The page is now completely empty - there are nor rules and no service classes. The onl...

Re: OpenWRT/DDWRT-based botnet causing DDOS attack
Is there a way to configure the ssh daemon to exponentially increase the time for a login attempt after every failed attempt ? That would make it harder to brute force the attack and still be safer for "idiots" (should have a max time of say 10-20 seconds though, so you can still login eve...

Re: Qos and ACK packages
I have another question on how the qos implementation works. At the moment somebody is downloading off of my webserver. If I check the current connections in the webinterface I see for example: Pr Src Dest Upload DL tcp 217.228.22.xx:3807 92.230.xx.182:8080 0.373 MBytes 11.572 MBytes Now this is for...

Re: Qos and ACK packages
The webradio that is used alot in my network ist lastfm.com - and they stream over a normal http port80 connection. What I now tried was the following: Source: 192.168.x.10, Source Port: 80 Fast Destination Port: 80 Fastest I am hoping that now uploads that come from my webserver are put into the fa...

Qos and ACK packages
Excuse my ignorance on the topic but I wanted to know if there is a way to priorize ACK packages in the qos upload section (or is that already done ?). The reason is, that atm I have a webserver behind the router that has qos upload rules set to fastest for port 80. What now happens is that if someb...

Re: dyndns problems
Yeah, as a temporary workaround because I might need dyndns to work the next few days I just added a cronjob shortly after my wan restart that restarts the whole ddns init script - and thus kills and restarts it in daemon mode (at least I hoped it will do that *g*). At the moment I am out of ideas w...

Re: dyndns problems
Oh noes - random strike yet again. My ip was updated now for about a week I would say and now today it didn't. I tried the following today before restarting the dns service: I manually started the ddns app: root@router:~# /usr/bin/ddns_gargoyle -P /etc/ddns_providers.conf -C /etc/ddns_gargoyle.conf ...
