Recommend a good dual-band N router that can run Gargoyle
I'm currently running Gargoyle 1.2.5 on an old WRT54GL. I'm considering getting a newer router with more RAM, Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band 802.11n wifi. Does anyone have one in particular that they own that works really well and runs Gargoyle?

Re: OS X Lion won't connect - claims invalid WPA2 password
Now he is able to connect to the Verizon router, but he still can't connect to the WRT54GL running Gargoyle. My password is the maximum length allowed, any idea if this might be causing issues? I tried pinning down the issue with logread, but it didn't give me anything useful. Anyone have any debugg...

OS X Lion won't connect - claims invalid WPA2 password
My brother just bought a new Macbook Pro and it won't connect to my WRT54GL running Gargoyle 1.2.1. I just upgraded my router to 1.2.5 so I'll see if this fixes it but I doubt it will. It also won't connect to my Verizon FIOS Actiontec router using WPA2 so it might not just be Gargoyle. Has anyone e...

How do I unbrick the Gargoyle Router (Accton MR3201A)
I tried to update the firmware on one of the routers I bought on this site but I managed to brick it. How do I unbrick it? I tried the standard tftp to 192.168.1.1 method but that didn't work.

Re: WRT54GL OOM, dnsmasq and crond killed
I am not using active congestion management. I probably could have gotten to it with ssh but I didn't have much time to debug because my roommate was getting upset. I'm going to try to setup a script on my computer to automatically download the log once a minute. Are there any routers that work well...

Re: WRT54GL OOM, dnsmasq and crond killed
I actually swapped in one of the routers I bought from this website. Tonight I think I'm having the same problem. No way to know for sure as I can't connect to it when it starts crashing. I did notice on the status page almost all of my memory was used. Any chance there's some sort of memory leak in...

Re: WRT54GL OOM, dnsmasq and crond killed
I emailed you the router config backup and dmesg output. Unfortunately I did not know about logread so I didn't grab the log before the reboot.

Re: WRT54GL OOM, dnsmasq and crond killed
Yeah there appears to be issues running Gargoyle on the WRT54GL. I have one and am investigating myself. In the short term make sure you disable the active congestion controller and all your Quota rules. Then I think the rest of QoS should work OK. Now if you could do a backup of your router settin...

root@gateway:~# free total used free shared buffers Mem: 14336 13684 652 0 1536 Swap: 0 0 0 Total: 14336 13684 652 I just rebooted the router and it already low on memory. Maybe I just need a router with more RAM. I just bought a couple of the Gargoyle pocket routers, so I could rig something up bu...
