Understanding the usage logs?
I am running v1.6.2 on a TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2. I use DHCP to assign all known devices their own static IP for ease of monitoring and management of devices, kids' quotas etc. I have an unidentified device appear from time to time on my router, so when I look in Status|B/W Distribution I see it wi...

WNDR3700V4 on 1.8.1 not saving Basic Connection settings
I have a Netgear WNDR3700V4 with Gargoyle 1.8.1. If I go into any other settings and make a change I get the normal "please wait while settings are applied" message. But if I make any changes on the Connection | Basic page and click Save Changes, nothing happens. I exit the page and come b...

WNDR3700V2 lost my web interface after 1.8.1 upgrade
Hi, I was on 1.6.2 on my Netgear WNDR3700V2 and decided to upgrade to 1.8.1. I opted for not attempting to save settings, so got a default installation. It was all done pretty quickly and came back up fine. I logged in and restored my backup. The router rebooted OK and seems to be working, but I now...

WNDR3700 V2 won't connect
Hi, I have been using Gargoyle 1.6.2 on a TL-WR1043ND V2 for a few years at the family home and it has always been stable and reliable. I am now in a new place and opted to go for 1.6.2 again, but couldn't find a WR1043ND, so bought a Netgear WNDR3700 V2 second hand instead and flashed that. As far ...

Re: SMTP sending issue
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I took the backup, did a "Restore Default Configuration" then made no other changes. From there I tested the email sending and it had the same problem. Only after that test I restored the config. I have decided to move mail hosts as I probably should have done ye...

Re: SMTP sending issue
Thanks for your help and sorry for the slow response, couldn't take the connection off until today - family pressures! I could not catch the boot sequence properly to go into failsafe mode. So in the end I decided to take a backup and reset the router to the default config. I am guessing that's goin...

Re: SMTP sending issue
Just been reading about the failsafe mode, I'm not sure what that's going to give me? Assuming it then works, all it will have proved that there is something in Gargoyle that is blocking the password send, but I already know that to be the case! Sorry if I am sounding dumb, but what would be the pur...
