Try to ping to the router address to see either it reply or not. Did you try to boot into failsafe mode? What do you mean by installing a new package? Is it a new firmware or else?

I hope for the patch too eventhough I don't have this issue since my TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1.5 using older RAM chip by referring this: Devices having reboot issues is equipped with Zentel A3R12E40CBF ram chip. Devices without reboot issues has SKhynix H5PS5162GFR ram chip. Devices without reboot issue...

Do you know can we use factory image files from OpenWRT wiki to reflash back the gargoyle firmware to the stock TP-Link WDR3600 (if want to revert back to stock/or reflash other open firmware) or it use different image firmware? Thanks.
