Re: Version error trying to load 1.9 on Archer C7 v2

Not sure, but you can try by going to the Update Firmware page of the TP-Link GUI and simply selecting the appropriate Gargoyle .bin file. My guess is that you will get: Error code: 18005 Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name. in wh...

Re: Version error trying to load 1.9 on Archer C7 v2

Just wanted to say that as of Aug 2017, with a US-version of the Archer C7 v2.0, the "Holy Cow Testicles" 3-step method worked exactly as described on page 1 of this thread. I uploaded v. 1.9.2 in Step 3 and it worked fine. For what it's worth, a week ago I bricked the same model of router...

Re: Unable to connect to 2nd wireless AP joined to main rout

Thanks griftopia and Landis. I tried the setup recommended by Landis, with the exception of "Set SSID, channel and password to exactly the same on both routers." Instead, I set the SSID of Router 2 to be something different (ABC-2) as a means of testing which Access Point I was connecting ...

Re: Unable to connect to 2nd wireless AP joined to main rout

Thanks for your answer. To clarify what I want to do... I want to extend strong wireless coverage to an area of the house that needs it. This means enabling wireless from both Access Points. DHCP will be (ideally) handled entirely by the main router (Router 1). This is simple to do with Apple Airpor...

Unable to connect to 2nd wireless AP joined to main router

Scoured the boards for a solution to my Gargoyle-specific problem, but no luck, so here is the situation: Router 1: TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2 running Gargoyle 1.6.2 Device Configuration: Gateway WAN IP Address (Current IP):192.168.1.65 WAN Netmask: 255.255.255.0 WAN Gateway IP: 192.168.1.254 WAN DNS ...

OpenVPN works, but cannot ping client PCs

Hello--Newbie here. I successfully installed Gargoyle on my TP-Link WR1043NDv2 (my home router) and then proceeded to set up OpenVPN on a client computer (a Windows 7 laptop). I took my Windows 7 laptop to another location with Internet access and successfully connected via OpenVPN. Success! However...

"Package Cannot Be Installed (Insufficient Disk Space)"

I am a newbie, so bear with me.... Bought a TP-Link TL-WR941ND v3 router (32MB RAM, 4 MB Flash). Flashed with the appropriate bin file. Flash successful. No problems observed. Problem is when I go to the Plugin page and scroll down to the plugin "OpenVPN Support for Gargoyle". It says: Ver...
