Re: Version 1.5.9 - Plugins Interface

Tried to build 1.5.6 with "make custom" (defined target as ar7, and added base gargoyle packages) checking for mips-openwrt-linux-gcc... mips-openwrt-linux-uclibc-gcc libipt_bandwidth.c:40:48: warning: linux/netfilter_ipv4/ipt_bandwidth.h: No such file or directory Edit: seems custom-src/....

[AR7] Building 1.4.7

Hi, A week ago, I successfully built 1.5.9 for AR7, but found some problems with OpenWRT (Attitude Adjustment RC1) itself, and filed appropriate bugs to hopefully fix: #12779: LAN not working with current AR7 on DSL-2640T (ADM6996M) #12789: TNETW1350 not detected with current AR7 on DSL-2640T (regre...

Re: New to Gargoyle, just built & flashed on AR7

Eric, thank you very much for your detailed reply. Obviously I was too tired at the time of writing to think straight. Of course, it makes sense tc qdisc has nothing to do with with Quotas. had too many thoughts going through my head, and was curious about how QoS & Quotas work in Gargoyle, and ...

Re: PPPoE WAN bug?

Please note that in /etc/init.d/network , boot() and start() are different
Mainly:
boot() doesn't contain `ifup -a` like start() does.. maybe that would explain why pppd starts before any interfaces are brought up?

I don't have access to a running openwrt atm, so can't look any further into this yet.

Re: PPPoE WAN bug?

pbix, I see now. Thanks for the clarification :) geekgirl, BTW, do you know how pppd is started in OpenWRT? This is somewhat of a mystery to me. Somehow pppd is started before any scripts in /etc/init.d are executed. Yes, it is a bit mysterious in fact, as you can see in r17527 (the patch I referenc...

New to Gargoyle, just built & flashed on AR7

I had been looking briefly into gargoyle sources the other day to familiarize myself with it, and today I built it for AR7 and flashed it on a D-Link DSL-2640T (ver. B1). Honestly, seeing files being written all over the place, I did not have a good feeling about this. /etc/original_backup (iirc, wr...

Re: PPPoE WAN bug?

In the next few days I'm going to make a release where I bump the version to the latest OpenWrt. Has anyone tried the latest OpenWrt (8.09.2) and found whether this is working? Maybe this has been fixed upstream... I had the same problem on 8.09.2 (r18961) I believe the *ideal* (and least invasive)...
