No wonder the firmware would not flash. The chip is BCM4707.

I just got the WZR-600DPH2. I tried gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-wzr-hp-ag300h-squashfs-factory.bin and gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-wzr-hp-ag300h-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin, both of which said: Invalid firmware. NTP not working on this router running Gargoyle 1.6.1. I have tried to RESET, but it appears nothing actually reset.

I have the same situation with a TLWDR3600 and Gargoyle 1.6.1. In fact, after hitting RESET it appears nothing changes.
