not sure what your proposing but if it means that the router sends a 'magic packet' to any machine that someoneone is trying to access but its turned off... add my vote at the moment here, everyone has to run a program & send a magic packet manually should they find the server or another system ...

thanks for the reply bikemike (i note a fellow adelaidian :)) if that were the case, that i have the ip range added in wrongly, i wonder why it accepts it as a valid range & why/how it accurately calculates the uploads but shows n/a on the downloads and the "both" ??? im still thinkin ...
