Hi mate, yes Gargoyle will run well on the wrt1900AC but I am not sure how well it will work in your setup. Hi if you cant do a Serial connection then you could try and flash to LEDE or OpenWRT and then flash back to Gargoyle

Hi yes you can use Gargoyle as your mane router. Just set it up with the wifi turned off and plug the APs in to your lan ports. Most routers that can run Gargoyle will do as long as you don't have verry fast internet. If you have A verry fast connection you would have to get somthing like the WRT190...

+1 but it takes a long time to move gargoyle over to a new base. Gargoyle is more than just a nice GUI. Lots of the things that make Gargoyle so good have to be hooked in to the kernel.

I think you meen OpenWRT and at your command line type.
opkg update
opkg install luci
/etc/init.d/uhttpd start
/etc/init.d/uhttpd enable
then you should have a interface at 192.168.1.1
