Problems accessing shared folders...
It's the weirdest thing. I have all my PC's set to Max Power. Once powered up, they never go to sleep, After about an hour, I am no longer able to access shared folders on other PC's in my house. Here is a workaround. I can open a document through the network on the computer I am curently using. I c...

Is there a way to only allow media sharing on one band?
For example, you could use your 2.4ghz band for guests and disable media sharing. You could use your 5ghz band for media streaming and of course enable media sharing. I doubt this is possible, but it would be a neat feature.

Re: I need to revert back to stock on WNDR3700 v.2
The WNDR3700v2 seems to be a popular model here in the forum. The suggestion above corrected my issue. My phone and tablet would appeaer to reconnect to wifi if I left and came back home or if the router power cycled; however, web pages wouldn't load until I manually disconnected and reconnected wif...

Re: I need to revert back to stock on WNDR3700 v.2
Thanks X, I'm going to try out 23db on 2.4ghz. I don't use the 5ghz channel anymore. My house is now wired with Cat 6 ethernet, so I don't need it to transmit video or anything, and the range on 5ghz is pretty lame. Hey, how did you arrive at 23db and 15db as the best transmit levels for your WNDR37...

I need to revert back to stock on WNDR3700 v.2
Gargoyle just doesn't work for me. My Samsung Galaxy Note2 phone and iPad 4 both do great for an hour or two, but then the wifi on the devices has to be disconnected and reconnected to get it to work. That never happened with stock. Another problem is that in the evening, we have thunderstorms frequ...

Re: Is there a way to disable 5GHZ wifi without disabling 2.
Update: I figured it out. When I changed it from dual band to N+G+B, I wasn't able to connect to the internet on the 2.4GHZ channel. However, I changed it back to dual band and then back to N+G+B and then forced it to reboot. It seems to have fixed the issue.

Is there a way to disable 5GHZ wifi without disabling 2.4?
On the factory firmware that came with my WNDR3700.2, under advanced settings, I could disable 5GHZ wifi. None of my devices use it. I can't figure out how to disable one without disabling both on Gargoyle.
