Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
I've successfully flashed my TP-TL1043ND v1.9 router with 1.4.7. It took two attempts to get it working with my Netgear DG834 acting as a dumb modem, the trick was to re-flash with the stock firmware, then the german firmware and then with 1.4.7. I then restored the settings I first configured from ...

Re: 1043nd no intenet after flash
Do you have v1.8 or v1.9 of the 1043nd? Have you tried googling or skimming topics from the forum with 1043 in the title? You may spot a common theme...perhaps your WAN port is not talking with your ADSL router? Take a look at this thread http://gargoylerouter.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3016&...

Dynamic DNS units wrong
Hi, I think I've found a bug in v1.0.10 running on my wrt54g. The forced update is acting in hours, even though Gargoyle shows Days and /etc/ddns_gargoyle.conf shows:- service ddns_2 enabled 1 service_provider dnsomatic.com ip_source internet force_interval 1 force_unit days check_interval 15 check_...

Dynamic DNS password non-alphanumeric limitations
Trying out 1.0.10 on wrt54g last night and I found that I could not use the OpenDNS services. Each time the connection was refused and the entry removed. Lots of slow typing, as well as cut'n'paste and I was baffled. An entry for dyndns.org worked fine. I then noticed that I had an @ in the password...

Re: unstable net connection with wrt54g using 1.0.8
Try loading the 1.0.10 firmware as well. Not sure why, but that one seems like it's using less memory than prior builds. I'm usually in the 10-11mb used, and have at least 2MB+ free ram. I tried 1.0.10 and typically have 13mb used, but did see it go right up to 97.2% used. I'm really pleased the ba...

Thanks, I setup fixed ip when switching to bridged mode.Maniac wrote:Glad it helped. BTW you should also have DHCP disabled on the modem if it's not.

Re: unstable net connection with wrt54g using 1.0.8
Thanks for the suggestion. I put the modem into bridged mode and the link reliability has been transformed.

unstable net connection with wrt54g using 1.0.8
I'm having some trouble with a reliable broadband connection via my WRT54G (v1.1) running Gargoyle 1.0.8 via a D-Link DSL300G ADSL router. This hardware setup had worked for many years using another ISP and stock Linksys firmware (I've changed ISP since then and their freebie wifi router couldn't do...
