Re: DNS-Rebind Attack

Try changing the IP address of the DNS server, maybe it will improve (for example 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8). Your ISP may have a broken DNS server, and then these domains could be incorrectly answered and resolved. Of course, if you need, this protection can be turned off. The explanation is here: https:/...

You can try version 1.13.x (the device is supported here): viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12896

Re: DNS-Rebind Attack

It also made me "Alcatel" phone with android 5, I exchanged it for Xiaomi Redmi with android 10 and since then I have peace of mind. According to my analysis, it was targeted ads that tried to access from IP 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1, etc. First, try updating the firmware. I don't know anything b...

Re: Adblock Alternative Adguard Home

As I wrote, the whole configuration is done manually via ssh and does not exist in the Gargoyle GUI (advanced user) - if you want seamless setup via the GUI, you must use OpenWrt with the LuCI GUI. Even my setting is not 100%. Google (youtube) changes ad servers quite often, so I accepted that. Adbl...

And shouldn't you have these IP addresses set up (the ones you wrote will probably be obsolete)?

Re: Adblock Alternative Adguard Home

I'm a little complicated. I use DNSMASQ (DNS) for local names and then UNBOUND, where I use AdBlock from OpenWrt + DNSSEC + DNS over TLS (DOT) open validating resolvers from nic.cz 193.17.47.1 185.43.135.1 Configuring /etc/dnsmasq.conf with adding lines: no-resolv server=127.0.0.1#5353 Configuration...

Re: Adblock Alternative Adguard Home

If you still want to use the youtube block list, edit the file /usr/lib/adblock/runadblock.sh via ssh and add the following to line 107: For Gargoyle <= 1.12.x: wget --no-check-certificate -qO- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ewpratten/youtube_ad_blocklist/master/blocklist.txt | awk -v r="$ENDPOIN...

Re: Adblock Alternative Adguard Home

The "AdguardHome" package is part of OpenWrt 21.02 and will be for Gargoyle in a very long time.

The Youtube adblock list is unmaintained and obsolete.

I'm using the "Adblock" package from OpenWrt with manual configuration and it suits me.

Re: Adblock Facebook

Yes, I confirm. Here at https://adaway.org/hosts.txt, the worksheet has expanded to include the following lines in the worksheet:

Code: Select all

# [fbcdn.net]
127.0.0.1 sonar-iad.xx.fbcdn.net
127.0.0.1 video-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net
127.0.0.1 video-dfw5-2.xx.fbcdn.net
