Re: Setting Download QOS to 100mbps using ACC
Sorry I might have worded that poorly. It adjusts between 15-100% of your set speed. So between 15-100mbps If your connection is particularly saturated, or your ISP is struggling to provide throughput, 15mbps may not be enough of a limit to bring it back under control. But QOS won't go any lower. I...

Re: Setting Download QOS to 100mbps using ACC
ACC only works in the down direction so upload needs to be accurate. ACC only limits down to 15% of max speed, so 15mbps in your falsified case. If this isn't sufficient to get your link under control, then you will run into problems. I would say there's nil advantage in lying to the QoS settings. ...

Setting Download QOS to 100mbps using ACC
Just trying to understand how QoS works as mine works pretty well, just tweaking and optimizing here: Is there any issue with doing this? I've been setting it at 100mbps so that I don't lose any possible bandwidth since Cox in Orange County gives a powerboost of sorts and there's no point in being a...

Re: Upload QoS ignoring Source IP Field?
Good point. I believe i've seen this discussed before, that's why i pointed it out, not sure now if it was Gargoyle's QoS so.. I'll post here if i find anything related to that. We're all here to learn and everyone else who reads this for posterity, will appreciate our accuracy hahaha. I do t...

Re: Upload QoS ignoring Source IP Field?
Wow, I honestly thought that field was just for applying rules. Nope. It's for default service class when nothing matches the rules. :o I think that fixed it. I'll report back if there's anything interesting to report in terms of what I would think is a bug or some unexpected behavior. Thanks...

Re: Upload QoS ignoring Source IP Field?
Nope, still have some slow classes even though it's clear not marked as such. I created some classes AS slow, then I modified each of those rules to be under my "GAMES" rule... so I don't believe I should see those. Weird. What if you place all of your gaming rules on top of the match cri...

Re: Upload QoS ignoring Source IP Field?
Awesome thanks for the quick reply. That makes the most sense now that you mention it. "did you reboot it?" By the way, did a reboot fixed the problem ? That was strange indeed. Nope, still have some slow classes even though it's clear not marked as such. I created some classes AS ...

Re: Upload QoS ignoring Source IP Field?
I think as a first step you should reboot the router. It's possible one of the class tags is stuck against too many things. As long as your config is right (looks ok) a reboot should start it right. Awesome thanks for the quick reply. That makes the most sense now that you mention it. "did you...

Re: QoS for gaming
can someone post screenshots of their qos config Not to be mean but it seems you do not understand or read the Wiki. There's a lot to understand if you're going to implement the awesome QoS that is in Gargoyle. Simply trying to copy paste is like shooting a 1/20 chance of getting the configuration ...

Upload QoS ignoring Source IP Field?
*I'm not new to this, I've setup QOS on 1.8.1 successfully and I'm setting it up now on 1.9.x* It seems that Gargoyle is incorrectly classifying some traffic as my QoS Upload Class: "Games" when I've only specified it to come from my source IP of 192.168.1.30 http://puu.sh/v684B/79600aab0a...
