OpenVPN, clients "Waiting for server"
About a year ago, I had OpenVPN working. About 2 months ago, I flashed my router with new firmware and did not keep any settings. I reconfigured everything except OpenVPN. Today, I setup OpenVPN but my clients (cellphone and tablet) are unable to connect. The clients state "Waiting on server&qu...

Disable Guest network but keep settings?
I would like to setup a Guest network but only have it enabled when I have friends/family over. If I setup the network, then disable it, the settings are reset the next time I enable it. Is it possible to keep the settings but have the guest network disabled?

Re: Best practice for upgrading firmware?
I have the wdr-3600 also, I'd hold off upgrading to 1.9 for now. I loaded 1.9 but found it to be unstable (speeds would be ok, then slow down to 10% capacity say). I reloaded 1.8 and it has been stable again. The 1.9 version that can be downloaded is from Nov. If you are going to go with the 1.9 ve...

Best practice for upgrading firmware?
I haven't been able to locate any documentation on the best practice for upgrading firmware. I checked the Documentation sidebar link, including the FAQ. I am running firmware from 3 years ago, figured its about time that I upgrade. I usually live by "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" but ...

Re: Is OpenVPN the best solution for this?
Is there any special settings I should use on the OpenVPN server settings in the Gargoyle web interface? I used the defaults and I successfully connected with my Android phone (using the OpenVPN app).

Re: Is OpenVPN the best solution for this?
Thanks. I installed OpenVPN on my Android tablet, not using a PC.ispyisail wrote: No. gargoyle has a solution for this
Use "Dynamic DNS" then put your dynamic URL into openVPN
e.g.
cow.mooo.com
Regarding DNS, do you know any good, free DNS services that I could use for this?

Is OpenVPN the best solution for this?
I need a secure tunnel when traveling and connected to hotel WiFi. 1. Is the OpenVPN feature the best solution for me? 2. While my internet connection is pretty reliable, my IP address has stayed the same for awhile now. It looks like the OpenVPN config files use my current IP address. If my model e...

Is it possible to see real-time speeds for devices?
Ive been having issues with my WDTV playing Hulu Plus. Hulu keeps freezing at random times. I want to see how much bandwidth it is pulling in real-time. Is this possible? Bandwidth Distribution shows how much data used in 1 minute intervals. I am looking for a Mbps for each device in real-time.
