Re: reassociation problem

I mentioned the problem about maintaining contact with the Main AP after power cycling in this post which turns out to be a known bug to be fixed:- http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=163 You mention you are using WPA? If you can try a different method and perhaps no encrypt...

Re: New Authentication System & Bug Fixes

It is often mentioned in DDWRT and Sveasoft forums that attempting to reload config files after upgrading firmware to newer versions can lead to problems. It is a bad policy if you wish to avoid problems. Using config files ACROSS different router types with the same version of firmware is a complet...

Re: Auto Bridge Reconnect After Power Cycling

It is not Crucial for me at present.
I'm just reporting what I think is a basic problem so that you know it exists.
You get on with what you know are the major problems.
Good luck solving them. :D

I just wish I was upto speed so I could do the same!!

Auto Bridge Reconnect After Power Cycling

I am using a router in Bridge Mode. I find that the Bridge does not Auto reconnect when I cycle the power. I have to rejoin the main AP in order to re-establish a connection. Is this a Bug or just a normal feature of the Firmware? . To be of real use, in my mind, the Bridge needs to rejoin automatic...

Re: Client Bridge + AP?

Even with different SSIDs available I found that some wifi clients mid way between and with similar signal strengths were unable to connect. Same Channel interference effect I put it down to. Those with strong exposure to one SSID with a strong signal would work. However, more than 2 Simultaneous Cl...

Re: Client Bridge + AP?

I have had issues with DDWRT in a similar situation when the Main AP and Client PC are close enough for their wireless devices to interact and connect. I think the main point of a Client router is to obtain access for a (Wireless or other) Client PC which is unable to get a clear signal from the Mai...

Re: Unable to Edit Access Restrictions

After I Power Cycled the Router used as a Bridge, even though the settings were still present :D the Router did not Automatically re-connect to the AP. :(

I had to Return to the Connection-Basic page and save changes again to force a reconnection.
