Re: Extend 5ghz signal strength
Seems like it worked, at least I'm not getting any obvious errors. I'll move it into an upstairs location and see if the signal upstairs improves. Didn't know that was possible yet; I'll give it a shot. Thanks! I would just put Gargoyle on the Archer http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_1.11.x/ar71xx/g...

Extend 5ghz signal strength
I’ve got a split level home, cable comes into the basement and I’ve got a new WRT1900ACS in a central location down there. However, the 5ghz signal strength upstairs—where we need it for video service—is just on the range of unseeable, causing dropouts and slow service. I have a C7 (v4, so unable to...

Re: Time to Upgrade, what should I buy?
Quality-wise, or suitability for Gargoyle-wise, do any of them stand out as "better"?

Time to Upgrade, what should I buy?
I bought the my last routers from the Gargoyle Shop, but I think I need more than the small router currently offered so I'm wondering what is the best router these days? Budget is around $150, maybe a little higher if the payoff is worth it. I see a couple Linksys models--the WRTAC1900 and just an A...

Router reboot with USB Drive
I have hooked my router and cable modem up to a power cycle device which reboots each of them in proper sequence each night. If I don't do this, it seems like they "get out of sync" with each other somehow and stop working. This permanently gets around the problem. However, I want to hook ...

Re: Repeater Bridge not routing between wireless clients and
I'm looking to set up a router as a repeater and while searching for that topic found this thread. So, let me just say that I have purchased two routers from this website, the 1043nd that was sold here several years ago and the Gigabit router that I bought a few months ago. The only reason I would e...

Amazon Dash Project Help
I am trying to configure an Amazon Dash button to play around with, like described here: http://blog.desasha.com/2015/12/13/Amazon-Dash-as-generic-IOT-button/ However, I can't glean from that post the step-by-step needed to get this up and running. I understand that dnsmasq is part of the Gargoyle c...
