Hi, Looking at your doc, I believe that is what my son did, with the one exception that we were trying to install the update to WRT when everything went pear shaped. I will get him to have a read tomorrow to confirm.

We attempted to install: openwrt-ar71xx-ubnt-rspro-squashfs-factory-1.bin

Thank you, will be grateful for the instruction doc once you have it ready. We did catch the need to have the correct IP 1.1 and thought at first we might have got the incorrect image but we don't seem to be able to boot in fail-safe.

hi ispyisail, Well, we seem to have run out of ideas. We can ping but tftp, telnet and ssh timeout and we don't have a serial cable to try connecting using that. Well I got my power supply from eBay for a very good price including shipping. It arrived yesterday and i will attempt to set up the software tonight and Sunday. I'm just about to start reading all the info again. Is there anything I should particularly look out for when flashing the Router? Regards...

WHOOPS,What power supply are you using? I will have to get one at dick smith or somewhere tomorrow, Fri if it arrives by courier in the morning.

OK I have gone and done it, LOL purchased the Ubiquiti RSP as recommended. Hopefully it will be here by the weekend. Will not buy a radio at this stage as will use my existing WIFI.

OK, please confirm that I understand you correctly. Are you saying that RSP is a wired router and does not have WiFi in the basic kit. I did see that you had to add a radio selected from either a Support for 3 Ubiquiti SR,XR,or SR71 radios. What is the difference between these? No Radio works for me...
