I really like gargoyle. It's much more stable than ddwrt i used previously.

I tried the failsafe method by pressing the qss button. The setting led flashed rapidly but then I was not able to ping or telnet to it. How were you connected to the router? I flashed the router from openwrt to gargoyle 1.5.7. It worked. Out of no reason, I later did the 30/30/30 reset without knowing this method is not workable for gargoyle. U232 P9 with prolink 2303HX. I use the 2nd, 3rd & 5th pins for rx, tx & ground. Shouldn't it work? I will try to solder the wire on the board and give it another shot. It's using USB, so I suppose it around 5v. I set the speed to 115200 and others as in the guide. Try 57600 for serial speed...

i tried using the RS232 serial cable, connect the tx pin to rx pin and vice versa. Launched putty with serial mode but what i got are a bunch of weird characters.

I upgraded my wr841nd v7.2 from openwrt to gargoyle 1.5.7.
It worked but i did the 30/30/30 reset and now the password becomes invalid. Any way through? Urgent. Thanks.
