Re: TP-Link WDR3600 Test Router

The router is very open at the moment, I need to put it in a more permanent setup (VPN access)

Re: TP-Link WDR3600 Test Router

Is there anything in particular you want me to look at or try?

You can't load modules on the USB drive on this router

Just crashes

I'm happy just to ditch these older routers but you seam keen to keep them alive?

Re: TP-Link WDR3600 Test Router

Main router problem is the USB drive storage

The good thing is you can have the GUI on one screen and the serial on the other :)

Re: Stable/Fastest Gargoyle Router

My 32x is stable but quirky compared to 1.10.x on a ar71xx e.g. For some setting/configuration to stick I needed to reboot the router after the change have been saved. and some port-forward issues........that were fixed with manual configuration. But the router appears to be very stable once setup.

Re: Version 1.11.0 : Based on OpenWrt 18.06

router tp-link 1043nd v2.1

Older hardware is known to give problems with 1.11.x

You need to weigh up the risk reward.

Note: security risks with older firmware (have been patched in 1.11.x)

Re: Could someone point me to the correct firmware for TP-Link C7 V.2

From my understanding as a rule OEM firmware is almost always faster because its been optimized for the hardware and has less features.

Re: Unexpected wifi connection from subnet

For Gargoyle to work as designed data has the be

WAN << >> LAN

I think your setup is

WAN <<ISP Router>> LAN -- LAN <<Gargoyle>> LAN

you need

WAN <<ISP Router>> LAN -- WAN <<Gargoyle>> LAN
