Thanks for your reply
I actually didn't change the default IP (192.168.1.1) when I switched it to wireless bridge/repeater and that IP doesnt work anymore when i try.
Does the IP default to anything after switching to wireless bridge/repeater?
Thanks

wndr3700V2 access help after changes
Hi I have a wndr3700V2 which has gargoyle 1.6 (I believe) installed and was working great. I wanted to try using the router as a wireless bridge/repeater to extend my new ISP router, so I selected the 'wireless bridge/repeater' option under Connection > Basic > Device Configuration > Configure Devic...

Re: Remote ssh access explanation
Thanks for you reply. I be away for an extended period and in case their are any issues with the router, I would need to access it remotely to help my parents. So I should use OpenVPN to access my router remotely? Could you please give me a brief run down on how this would help/what I need to do (I'...

Remote ssh access explanation
Hi
I'm running Gargoyle 1.5.5 on a WNDR3700.
I'd like to be able to remote ssh access this router from my mac (OS X) when I'm traveling. However, I'm very unfamiliar with ssh on how it works, if I need a client (and which one) and how to set it up.
Could someone please explain this to me?
Thanks!

Re: Quota setup question
Hi Thanks for your reply. Yes restrict per hr until the 'daily' limit is reached from like 7am-12am. I've set an hourly limit during certain hours like from 7am-12am and no restrictions from 12am-7am. But the problem with this is I'm getting renters still downloading up to the hourly quota for every...

Quota setup question
Hi I have renter's, which Gargoyle works amazingly for (and thanks to help from these forums!) Right now, I'm trying to setup Quota's for specific IP's (192.168.1.100/25) to limit downloading/torrents/heavy bandwidth during the times everyone uses the internet. My hope is to limit 1. prolonged heavy...

Re: 2 wireless routers/networks 1 dsl modem
Ok, I gave up on the WRT54GS, however I was lucky enough to find a used Dlink DIR-825 and got it for relatively cheap. This was much easier to install gargoyle on and runs much faster/smoother vs. wrt54gs. Also it's similar to my Netgear WNDR3700 so a good spare router to practice setting up gargoyl...

Re: 2 wireless routers/networks 1 dsl modem
That's a great idea, Thanks! Maybe what I'll do is practice and try setting this up on the WRT54GS for an interim router so I have time setting Gargoyle up on the WNDR3700 without any internet down time. Just a quick question, do you know off hand if I can install Gargoyle directly through the WNDR3...
