Hi it's to save unnecessary writing and causing wear on the limited lifespan flash.
Once a router is configured properly I usually will not write to it again for months or years.
I might peak at the charts if things slow down. They are in a commercial environment so prefer maximum reliability.

Any way to turn off saving to flash or or just have it save to ram. Or even just disable it?
Prefer to protect the flash if possible as my ISP already has bandwidth logs

I'm trying to install the UPNP plugin for mt7621 ER605 which is running below firmware gargoyle_1.15.x-ramips-mt7621-tplink_er605-v2 From what I gathered we are supposed to go system\plugins and add in a url plug in source? Man I am in the same boat. Open WRT is so difficult to use looking forward to usinig Gargoyle on the ER605
