New router configured and online. Thanks everyone.

Thank you Lantis! The V2 part was easy, but it seemed there were a few flavors of V2 so thanks for posting the links.

Was able to score a couple of brand new TP link routers. I've bought these from the Gargoyle store before and they work well. Is the label on the router enough to determine which V2 TP link firmware to download?

My second used Linksys router bit the dust after 3 days of use. It appears the tested router list page has gone stale. Does anyone know of a router that you can buy brand new with 1gig ports that has been tested with Gargoyle? Sure do appreciate Gargoyle, and those who are trying to keep it going.

Ha. I also noticed when returning the bad unit to Amazon that the box was labeled USED EXCELLENT CONDITION. Thought I had bought a new one.

oliver44 I tried all your tricks on this unit to no avail. Since the power LED NEVER lights up, at all, I am concluding its a hardware DOA (it was a new router). Weird because the port link light and the internet LED did light up, and I could access the web server. No worries, it came from Amazon so...

Yes. Brings you back to the same error page. The link seems to preclude the router has been reset.

I should add that I never get the status of the power LED staying solid after a successful hardware reset. The unit does not seem to be responding to the pressing of the reset button.

Got the router. It is a V2. I did locate the fw for this router. Ran into a spot of trouble when first logging into the router.
