Re: WRT1900ACV2 and NBN speed upgrades
Hi rockyd I have the identical router. Some years ago my RSP (ABB) had a special deal on 1000/??, can not remember the upload speed. Anyway I upgraded to this for the duration of the deal time. I remember getting the 1000 download, or very close to it. I can not remember any settings, though probabl...

Re: Transferring Static IPs
Thank you ektus and Lantis for your replys. Using some of the info ektus supplied I found all the static addresses in my main router in the file '/etc/config/dhcp'. I copied the static addresses from this file to the backup router, rebooted backup router and now all the static addresses are showing ...

Transferring Static IPs
Hello My main router is a WRT1900ACS running version 1.13.0. My backup router is also a WRT1900ACS but was running version 1.12.0. I have upgraded my backup router to 1.13.0 and would like to transfer a large amount of static IPs from the main router to the backup router. In version 1.12.0 I could d...

Determine which firmware produced backup file
Hi. I have made a backup of my settings using 'Backup Current Configuration'. After this I had to reload the firmware in the router a few times. Now the router is running OK I am not sure if the backup file is based on the same version of firmware I have loaded. I have looked at the contents of the ...

Re: Linksys WR32X temperatures
Hi I have a similar router a Linksys WRT1900ACS which displayed a CPU temperature of just over 80°C when I got it. A bit of research showed this was 'normal', though I did not like it. I found that a normal small 12volt 3" case fan would power up from the USB ports on the router and run at a sl...

Hostname origin
Hi. One of the laptops on my network is showing with a Hostname which is not the PC name or any name I can relate to the laptop. This laptop is not assigned a Static IP in Gargoyle so no Hostname is being forced in the router. Where does Gargoyle get the Hostname from for devices not assigned Static...

CPU load and memory usage confusion
Hi As I have a lot of time on my hands at present due to Corona Virus, I thought I would ask a question which has been on my mind for some time. Following is a copy of my Gargoyle Status page. I notice the CPU load nearly always sits at "0". It does go up slightly if I change settings or s...

WNDR3700 to WRT1900ACS
Hi all I am upgrading my router from a Netgear WNDR3700v4 running 1.10.X to a Lynksys WRT1900ACSv2. I am going to load Gargoyle 1.12.0 on the WRT1900ACSv2 and as I have a lot of mapped IP addresses I would like to avoid manually re-entering them. Can I do a clean install on the WRT1900ACSv2 and then...

Re: WiFi Bridge
Hi Lantis I am still having a problem with this one. Sorry for the long post, I tried to get as much info in as possible. I installed 1.12.0, all good. On checking the plug-ins, STA Manager was already installed. The plug-in tick box was grey and ticked, the button was labelled Uninstall and also gr...

Re: WiFi Bridge
Thanks Lantis
I will be installing on WNDR3700v2. Can I WinSCP in and check something to tell if STA Manager is automatically installed? Would be useful to know if i have to manually install for when I do future upgrades.
Thanks
