I was really hoping 1.5.2 would do the trick. We put it on last night and had no drops - woke up this morning and all was well. Then this afternoon it dropped out. My son rebooted the router to fix it, and then a couple hours later it dropped out again. Logread is giving us no clues at this point. P...

We put this on the back burner for a while, but now we're going to try the 1.5.2 and see how it goes. Is there a known difference as far as the broadcom drivers in 1.5.2?

Fixed this. Most bizarre thing ever. When we redid the network recently, my husband (or someone) plugged an ethernet cable into the DVR. This DVR was handing out IP addresses. Turns out the DVR is not supposed to be connected to the network, in spite of it having a nice available ethernet port. We u...

Block cable modem from serving DHCP

We're using a Linksys WRT54GS v3. We started with DD-WRT, then successfully installed Gargoyle 1.4.5. We ran into some weirdness - the "uplink/wan" port no longer works. In fact, if we plug anything into it we lose connections to the router. But port 4 on the standard ethernet ports works ...
