Re: Polipo config
Polipo has an option to enable/disable disk cache, so I turn it off and only use RAM cache (since I have much RAM available, I allocate 14MB for polipo) Polipo is working properly for me, but I still have some problems: Every computer needs to connect to the internet via the polipo proxy For example...

Re: Polipo config
You probably have to read up on the manual and do some manual config editing via command line. You will also need to mount and configure a USB drive on the USB port, and setup a /cache directory there, and then point the config for polipo to use that directory. Re: Disable Firewall
Delete the following 2 lines at the bottom: config include option path /usr/lib/gargoyle_firewall_util/gargoyle_additions.firewall This also will screw up the Bandwidth monitor graphing! Bandwidth Usage / B/W Distribution will not work when you delete the 2 above lines from the firewall config file...

I guess so.ispyisail wrote:From my understanding you want to "open up" not "close down" the firewall?
My intention is to increase the maximum throughput of the router (with wired connection). Since I'm already behind my university firewall, I do not concern much about security issue.

Re: TL-WR1043ND Gargoyle performance
I think the idea is to prove whether your bandwidth increases past 4-5 MB/s using any of these different channels. is it going to make a big difference? probably these networks will change to other channels as well Can I disable the firewall to increase throughput? Actually, I tried /etc/init.d/fir...
