Re: GL-AR150 Throughput Limitations

My old Dlink DIR-825 is limited with only 8MB of flash so had issues getting to 1.10 and being that it was getting old I upgraded that to a Unifi USG3P which is very nice, although its live reporting (and lack of monthly reporting) has been a change request for many years and the missing piece to ma...

GL-AR150 Throughput Limitations

So I picked up one of these units and flashed 1.10 onto it and installed it into my network. All the things I know and love about Gargoyle in a tiny package... Except that I'm only managing about 30MBit download through this router on my 100MBit connection?? My ISP provided router works perfectly, 1...

Re: DLink 825 B1 Upgrade to 1.10.0

I've also got the 825 B1 which I have been using for a long time. I'm stuck on 1.9.1 thanks to the bin files being too big since then. I might be willing to give this a go, I'm plenty comfortable with tinkering with things and am willing to wear the bricking potential... but I have a pretty simple q...

Re: DLink DIR-825

Update, the firmware loaded up fine (as has the 5 other firmwares I've made since then although none of them have done what they are supposed to, I can get adblock working, but not USB or openVPN. I've decided to tackle one problem at a time. USB: I get the usb storage menu item but regardless of wh...

Re: DLink DIR-825

Success! It seems the manual tweak of the config file have worked and my build process managed to run through to completion. Before tweaks the sysupgrade files was 3.6MB, it's now 4.3MB so *something* extra has gone in... I will have a go at loading it tonight and see how it all goes! Fingers crosse...

Re: DLink DIR-825

I've been reading more and realised that the ar71xx.usb profiles end in the 'fat' image (which is too big). ar71xx.default is actually the build I want. If I run make FULL_BUILD=true ar71xx.default this ends up with (what I assume is) the correct firmware build spat out at the end. I haven't actuall...

Re: DLink DIR-825

Done a clean process a bunch of times now on two different ubuntu machines with the same results, always the uboot error. Again for giggles I tried excluding uboot and it's no surprise that it manages to get through the process... problem is I still have a 7.4MB file so even if I solve that problem ...

Re: DLink DIR-825

So I have been attempting to build a custom bin file with no success. I've tweaked and poked a few different things but keep ending with the same error (sadly a couple of hours in :( which makes it sort of painful). cp: cannot stat ‘bin/ar71xx/uboot-ar71xx-nbg460n_550n_550nh:’: No such file or direc...

Re: DLink DIR-825

Update: It appear to have all finished successfully and I have a folder full of files at /gargoyle/images/ar71xx And this one should be the correct one for my router: gargoyle_1.9.x-ar71xx-generic-dir-825-b1-fat-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin It's 7.4MB Attempting to use the webpage doesn't appear to work ...
