Re: DDNS not working

Hi Lantis, thank you for your reply. When I program Router 1 to forward remote web connections to Router 2, I need to specify Router 2's Relay IP address, correct? The Relay IP address of Router 2 is 192.168.1.139. This is the IP address also mentioned in Router 1's list of Connection Hosts. So I se...

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater router keeps disconnecting

Hello, thanks for all the info. I'm wondering if in my Repeater setup, what exactly is the definition "Wan Ethernet Port:" and whether I should disable it. The other option is "Bridge to LAN". Which would give me a more solid connection. My repeater disconnects frequently. https:...

Is there a way to reach a repeating router remotely? Router 1 is the router that I reach with https://my-ip.
But how do I reach the Router 2, which is repeating Router 1?

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater router keeps disconnecting

Related questions: Repeater is broadcasting on a different SSID. Does that reduce reliability of the connection? Would it help if the channel is different? Right now Router 1 is channel 11. Repeating router is set at 6. Repeater does not repeat the guest SSDI's of Router 1. So is there a way to crea...

Hi ektus,

Thanks for the explanation. I've been struggling with this for so long, I was thinking I'm cursed. Everytime it went down I would howl!

Here's my setup now:

Re: DDNS not working

Hi RomanHK,

I feel very foolish. Remote Web Admin Access says https but I was trying http://domain instead of https://domain.

What threw me off was that Web Admin Protocol: says http & https so I had assumed http should also work.

Thank you all for your help and sorry for being so daft.

Re: DDNS not working

I realized that if logging in with ip doesn't work, I could just login into no-ip.com account and see what my new ip is and then connect to gargoyle using the new ip. But it would be nice to be able to login with the domain no-ip gave me. Does anyone have any trouble logging into gargoyle using a no...

So this is a normal thing, for the bridge to disconnect every couple of days - or something wrong with my setup?

Wireless Bridge/Repeater router keeps disconnecting

Hello, In this post I finally found out I can't have a wire connection between two routers located in separate buildings because the ethernet cable buried underground is probably faulty. So I am using Router 2 in Wireless Bridge/Repeater mode. But this works for a few days and then suddenly the SSID...
