I changed the file names because the router would not accept the file as originally named. The openWRT page for the 4300 suggested name changing.

Maybe the problem was that I was trying to go from factory FW straight to 1.81. A step approach works much better.

wdr4300v1_en_3_14_3_up_boot(150518).bin is one of the ones I have tried.

I have tried many different file names. If I use the name of the openwrt file it rejects it. If I rename the file, any file, to what should be an acceptable file name, it accepts the file but immediately stops and gives the above error message.

"Error code: 18005
Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name.. "

Here is the error message I get whenever I try to load anything except factory file. I did try openWRT but it will not load either. Thanks.
