Re: Archer C7 v2 Bricked when trying to revert to stock Need help

I am not getting TPL to halt the bootloop. I spent some time yesterday looking for an 820 ohm resistor for a TX line pullup, but found none much to my surprise. I will have another look at this when I get a chance. It is a pity, as it was new and the time and frustration is putting a damper on my up...

Re: Archer C7 v2 Bricked when trying to revert to stock Need help

I have a US version, that was not locked before all of this started. I have serial connection now and see what is going on. After loading, product ID verify fail. This is the case with your stripped and OEM US files and every other file I have tried to flash via TFTP.

Re: 2.4GHz Slow Archer C7 v2 1.11.0

I believe I now know why the router was slow. The antenna connectors are only fpr the 5.8 GHz radios. I was connecting to the main router with internal antennas. I discovered this when I opened the unit to install JTAG and serial headers, for the de-brick attempt.

Re: Archer C7 v2 Bricked when trying to revert to stock Need help

I have watched it already many times and as I have said that for myself and others that have commented, it does not work. The file he is using is a stock image that is no longer available on TP-Link website, nor is it a stripped file. I have only found that one same source you noted in your earlier ...

Re: Archer C7 v2 Bricked when trying to revert to stock Need help

I have a USB to TTL adapter with voltage select jumpers. I will wire it up to a header at some point today.

By chance would you happen to have a known to work stripped stock file?

Thanks

Archer C7 v2 Bricked when trying to revert to stock Need help

As the title suggests, I now have a bricked device. I have spent 2 days watching videos, reading forum posts, internet blogs, downloading various apps and image files to no avail. So, yes, I know there is quite a lot of info covering this subject and I think I have read all of it. I have used TFTP64 ...

Re: 2.4GHz Slow Archer C7 v2 1.11.0

I think it's moot at his point, as I tried to flash the C7 back to stock with stripped bin via TFTP and it is bricked. I spent half the day trying to unbrick it and nothing has worked thus far.

2.4GHz Slow Archer C7 v2 1.11.0

I have a TL-1043NDv1.8 that has been plagued with lockups requiring reset for some time now. It is configured as a standalone wireless bridge on 2.4GHz, using 3 directional antennas. I tried pretty much every third party firmware I could, as well as what others were claiming to be stable on this dev...
