Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

This does not make sense to me either. What country is it? Global or US? I believe if I set to US, the TX power is limited to 20 dBm. I want to set to 23 dBm, but there is no option for this. I had to force 23 dBm, using "uci set wireless.radio0.txpower=23" I also noticed that status/conne...

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

No repeater. There is either router or AP.

There are also VLAN/Bridge settings.

Locate and substitute US to my appropriate country code, makes no sense to me. Is it not US?

How do I check what the router country is currently set for?

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

You said that the country can be set, just not through the GUI.

I do control the upstream router, which is running stock Netgear firmware.

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

How is the country set in 1.12? I have been using TX power level of 150 mW/21.7 dBm for years now. I doubt another dB or two will make a significant difference in signal quality at the far end. The ERP result, of the antenna gain (can't remember the spec), link budget, would need to be calculated. I...

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

The RSSI from the main router is -55 dBm (5 GHz). The country is unown to me. TX power is set for max, @20 dBm. I recalled seeing a country setting, that was world, but that may have been version 1.15. I can't find it now. What I found to be the more alarming issue, was that the throughput was crap,...

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

Today, the router came back running correctly after last night's reboot. But, as I said it flakes out randomly also now.

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

Just a few minutes ago, the router was dropping the connection to the main router. After it reconnected, the throughput was extremely slow, like less than 4mbps, when it should be between 150-200 mbps. I copied the logs as a text file and rebooted. It is now back to speed. How would you like me to s...

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

I also used the terminal and saw the same results. The part of this that could be sketchy, is having the ability to access the logs after the router craps out. I can try to get to it, but it may require a power cycle, which would then wipe the log. I am debating now if I should try to flash 1.15, or...

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

The Gargoyle router did not fully recover after the reboot last night. After a power cycle, it came up running normally this time. I do have the router on its own subnet. The primary router is in a different building, I am unable to reach it without getting outside and physically closer to it, which...

Re: Archer C7 V2 Did Not Boot After Scheduled Reboot

You are correct, I did say 1.11, but that was in error. I know how I made that mistake. So, I was running 1.12 and having issues after the scheduled reboot, which may be the case now, as I am back to square one. Now, after the upgrade to 1.15, I was dead in the water, no connection to the primary ro...
