Re: NBN Superfast on Gargoyle

This is the contents of my network config file. Comparing it to my Netgears network config looks like VLAN 2 is setup on the WAN. config interface 'loopback' option ifname 'lo' option proto 'static' option ipaddr '127.0.0.1' option netmask '255.0.0.0' config globals 'globals' option ula_prefix 'fdab...

Re: NBN Superfast on Gargoyle

I guess lucky I couldn't tell which 1.10 version to use. I did do a fresh install of 1.12, and got stuck trying to work out how to set VLAN 2 for my ISP, which the router uses for its own purposes, even in Gargoyle.
Its Linksys WRT1900ACV2 according to the label on the bottom.

Re: NBN Superfast on Gargoyle

Bought a used Linksys WRT1900AC with the intent of putting Gargoyle on it. Correct me if I am wrong, but I should be able to put Gargoyle on it, and restore one of my backups from my Netgear WNDR3800 onto it, as long as I install the same version as my Netgear onto the Linksys? Edit: Not that easy, ...

Re: NBN Superfast on Gargoyle

Bugger, well that explains it.
Are there Gargoyle capable routers that would be able to route those speeds and more? Guessing I would need to find routers with faster processors?

NBN Superfast on Gargoyle

My ISP has upgraded my connection to what they call Superfast for 6 months. According to the ISP I should see around 200Mb/s download speeds, other people who have the temporary upgrade, are actually seeing around 250Mb/s. I have only been seeing around 100Mb/s on my Gargoyle WNDR3800. Out of curios...

Monitoring my WAN connection

Hi all, My NBN has been up and down like a yoyo, at its worst many times a day. I would like to look in the log file and see how many times it has gone down and for how long. I can't seem to find it. How would I be able to do this? I have installed logread plugin which seems to show a short log and ...

Re: WNDR3800 with VLAN setup

Maybe coincidence again don't know. But after not being able to get a internet connection with the cloned MAC address and the original MAC address setting, I thought I would try reloading my backup config. I was then able to get an internet connection. So far is has been up for 15 hours, hope it sta...

Re: WNDR3800 with VLAN setup

Tried cloning the MAC address from Internode modem into Gargoyle, couldn't get an internet connection
Now I can't get an internet connection anymore with the default MAC address setting either.
Meanwhile the Internode router comes up straight away.

Re: WNDR3800 with VLAN setup

Might be worth a try, I was wondering if maybe they randomly check, if their modem is connected every so often. I connected my 2nd WNDR3800 after loading the backup config from the original last night, it ran for 16 hours without issue, the NBN NTU went through its resync sequence, but only after th...

WAN VLAN setting in GUI

Hi any plan to add the VLAN WAN setting, as required by some NBN RSP's into the GUI?
