Re: NTP Servers not saving properly as appointed in the GUI
ntpd does not care about the order of servers, so in this case, a harmless bug. I have corrected the underlying issue regardless. Well, I am glad to hear it is getting corrected (if for no other reason to avoid confusing people unnecessarily). However, I do know that ntpd does (or at least used to,...

PXE Booting environment for Gargoyle
Gargoyle users: I recently became interested in trying to setup a PXE boot environment via my Gargoyle installation on my router. The first issue I ran into is that the USB Storage option does not work properly on Gargoyle unless you have already formatted the USB disk (I tried to do it via the GUI ...

Re: Partition number (if applicable)
What do you hope to gain from having it visible to you? When one uses a router that has multiple partitions and you are lets say reverting it to another copy of the firmware (say having Gargoyle on both partitions), it would be handy to know quickly before logging on which partition you are on auth...

Re: Partition number (if applicable)
The mantra or mission statement for Gargoyle is a simple to use, easy to configure front end interface to Openwrt, with some extra features like bandwidth monitoring etc. For the average home user, partition number means nothing and isn't something they need to focus on. It only raises confusion. F...

Re: Partition number (if applicable)
It's an evolution In the beginning there was only one router and everything was built into the firmware. Then we added features but ran out of flash space. Different routers different flash size. The way forward is plug-ins you choose what you want. Well, I can't imagine such an option increases th...

Re: Partition number (if applicable)
I agree with Roman. Much like upstream OpenWrt, this is better suited as an optional plugin. I will build this when I find time. Thank you! Having that as an option for Gargoyle would be very nice. I have to admit, I do not really understand what the dividing line is between what you (or those that...

Partition number (if applicable)
Gargoylers, In such instances as where a router (such as Linksys and perhaps others) have multiple partitions upon which firmware could be installed, would it be possible to show which partition is the active partition on one of the router's pages, such as under device info on the status page (hint:...

NTP Servers not saving properly as appointed in the GUI
I recently tried updating the list of NTP servers that Gargoyle uses to a different set of servers. Oddly, in succession to my placing them in the order I desired them to be, Gargoyle upon saving my updates reversed the order!?! What I entered (in the exact order) in the GUI: time.nist.gov time.appl...

Re: Router migration with backup
You cannot restore a backup between two different devices. You will soft-brick your device and require a failsafe reset. If you don't want to restore all settings by hand, you can attempt to restore the files individually using something like WinSCP. You should reboot the router after these changes...

Re: asterisk front end
If asterisk relies on a kernel module that is not included in Gargoyle already (I don't know what it requires) then it will try to source that kmod. If you have kernel version X and it can only find kmods for version Y, it won't proceed. Are you talking about when installing binaries via gpkg for A...
