Re: one to one NAT routing
I would certainly disagree that one to one NAT routing is a obscure feature. This is one of the most requested features in dd-wrt for anyone with a static ip block from their isp. It is quite easy to implement, so I have no idea why it has never been included. This is another feature that would set ...

Re: To update or not?
I think there is a intermittent dma issue with this router that won't be fixed until the next firmware release, most likely named 1.4.3. I'd plan on updating to the next one if you are currently hesitant.

Re: Version 1.4.2
For most folks their WAN link is much slower than their LAN link so this change will help communication latency for Wifi nodes when the Wifi link is saturated due to additional LAN<->LAN traffic. If traffic is limited to LAN<->WAN communication (the usual case) then QoS can handle this issue and th...

Hello, just curious if anyone else been getting this issue on WRT54GL router, I am on version 1.3.15 and trying to update to the latest one (1.4.2) but after the uploading screen nothing happens and the router only seems to reboot to the same version. Any suggestions? I have this problem with my WR...

Re: Version 1.4.2
I've asked this question in previous releases, and have never gotten a response. But do the gargoyle developers understand the relationship between txqueuelen and latency? Apparently this is now in OpenWRT trunk: https://dev.openwrt.org/changeset/28251 Should this also be the default for gargoyle, w...

Re: Version 1.4.2
asayler: Immediately after your wireless drops out (or whatever you are experiencing), connect to the router with ssh with a wired client. What is the output of the "logread" command? Something in it will most likely correspond with the timing of the outage occurring.

Re: Disable ping responses
You need to edit the ping rule in /etc/config/firewall I think that the ability to enable/disable ping replies should be included in the web interface as well. I think changing port request replies from REJECT to DROP and hence creating what many refer to as a "stealth" firewall should als...
