Gents,
thanks for your answers. Today's release 1.4.2 seems to solve the issue. At least it's much better. I could not reproduce the problem with 1.4.2 again.
Great job developers, thanks !
Cheers,
Christof

1.4.1: client bridge not as stable as 1.3.x
Hello, I just upgraded from 1.3.16 to 1.4.1 and experienced problems with the client bridge mode on my TP-LINK 741. I started with low 1.3. numbers a few months ago and experienced Gargoyle as the only free firmware which could establish a stable client bridge with the 741. This worked at least up t...

How to disable the firewall
Hi, I successfully configured a client bridge with Gargoyle and since 1.3.13 the bridge runs stable. The only issue I still have is that not all services are forwarded. I can't access the DMR function of the connected Mediaplayer for example. The web GUI doesn't allow to disable the firewall. Is the...

Re: Version 1.3.13
1.3.13 is great !!!!!
I first tried 1.3.10 for my client bridge, but it was not stable. With 1.3.12 there was no improvement.
1.3.13 is completely different. I can see a significant improvement in speed and stability !!!! Thank you !

Re: Client bridge not stable
I solved the issue:
I set the AP to WPA2 only instead of mixed and I reduced the TX power on the client. Works since one day now.

Client bridge not stable
I successfully configured my TP-Link WR741ND as client bridge with gargoyle in 5 mins after unsuccessfully trying this with dd-wrt for several days. Unfortunately the connection breaks down after a while (between 30 mins and 3hours). If I reboot the client, it works again. There might be a correlati...

Re: Flashing Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH
For DD-WRT you have to use "root" as login if you don't log in at the web GUI.

I tried for days now with DD-WRT and with Gargoyle it worked the first try. Perfect interface for configuration and perfect system which sim...

Re: Install and uninstall on TP-WR741ND
Eric, thanks for your answer. I guess, I'll try to flash Gargoyle as I don't get the client bridge running with dd-wrt. I guess it is as described in the dd-wrt forum. There must be some bugs with this router and also client bridge in general. I also read the chapter how to revert back from Gargoyle...

Re: Install and uninstall on TP-WR741ND
Hello pbix, thanks for your answer. I'm surprised. I would have expected gargoyle_1.3.10-ar71xx-tl-wr741nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin to be the correct file for flashing from the factory firmware and the other file for upgrading. Obviously my understanding might be wrong, so what is the purpose of garg...
