Re: The future of Gargoyle in 2022
Gargoyle is one of the major reasons I can get work done in Haiti. I live in a rural part of the country and the organization I work for pays an absurd amount of money for 8 megabits of internet. We have at least 20 devices at any given moment on the connection, and if it weren't for Gargoyle QoS, q...

Re: Same QoS settings on WRT1200 and Archer C7v2 with different classification/rule results
Thank you for the responses They are setup the same. Modem -> Router. When I run the test on each I simply turn the one that I'm done with off, remove the ethernet cable from it, and plug the ethernet cable into the other router. That is a good idea to look at the connection list. Here are the resul...

Re: Same QoS settings on WRT1200 and Archer C7v2 with different classification/rule results
I had to matchup the settings again. I'm pretty sure they are matched up exactly on the last save on each of them. Bumping my post. I'm still curious about this and would be happy if someone could shed some light on it for me.

Same QoS settings on WRT1200 and Archer C7v2 with different classification/rule results
I've setup the Archer C7v2 and the WRT1200 with the same QoS classes and rules. When I run a dslreports test on both of them, the rules get captured in the class section differently. On the Archer C7v2 everything gets captured as it should. On the WRT1200 it seems to be unable to identify some of th...

Re: Next bleeding edge testers wanted
I'm running into an issue when connected to the 2.4 GHz band on the Archer C7 v2. When connected to it I get regular timeouts when pinging the router (nearly 60/40 reply/timeouts) and my download speeds which are usually around 3.8 MB/s get limited to around 300 kB/s. Once I switch to the 5 GHz band...

Re: Next bleeding edge testers wanted
I upgraded on Archer C7 v2 with no problem using the factory-us.bin without preserving settings. I haven't run into any problems yet, but I'll post an update on anything that might come up. Thanks!

Re: Next bleeding edge testers wanted
Put me on the list! I've never done a TTL Serial recovery, but I've done most of the others.

Re: Restored configuration on wrong device
Worked! Followed the steps to put it in failsafe, managed to get ssh access and ran a firstboot command followed by a reboot-f and I'm back in business
. Thank you kind sir. And my friend thanks you of course

Restored configuration on wrong device
So a friend of mine, of course I didn't do this, restored a configuration from one device (a tp-link) to another different device (a Linksys) by accident. I tried a simple reset, a 30-30-30, and setting a static IP to get access and nothing is working. No ping no UI. Is my friend doomed or is there ...
