Re: Build an X86_64 router from scratch with Gargoyle??
So I have read through the instructions on building the Gargoyle Firmware. There are ton's of holes in the procedure. This is far from a step by step guide to Gargoyle on x86. It is not clear at all as to how to do this. Am I to assume that I need to do this from a installed version of Linux? If so,...

Re: Build an X86_64 router from scratch with Gargoyle??
I kind of thought that I might get a little more help from this forum. I guess there are not that many people running x86/x86_64 versions of this firmware/router package. I think that if there was a good tutorial or web page on how to set up this router package, there would be a lot more people runn...

Re: Build an X86_64 router from scratch with Gargoyle??
I already have a Netgear 3700 running Gargoyle, I would like to use a home built computer for the router. I had it running both Pfsense, and untangle; but I much prefer the Gargoyle interface. That's why I'm trying to get it up and running in the x86_64 hardware.

Re: Build an X86_64 router from scratch with Gargoyle??
I'm thinking that it has to do with the network port configuration. How can I get to a prompt to get to the files??

Re: Build an X86_64 router from scratch with Gargoyle??
How do I compile my own image, if I can not get the thing to boot?? I have used Unix (Solaris), and a ton of Linux Distros over the years, but I have never had a reason to compile a distro for my self? Can I do it from a functioning Linux Mint (live CD) put on to a USB drive?? Can you help me?? Brian

Re: Build an X86_64 router from scratch with Gargoyle??
Which one should I select??
If I can get one of them to boot, that would be OpenWRT, I realize that Gargoyle is built on OperWRT; Would I be able to turn that install into Gargoyle??
