Re: Buffalo WZR hp G300nh Wifi dropouts
Is it possible that there are other wifi sources which are interfering with your router's signal? I noticed that whenever my wifi signal disappears, I quickly launch inSSIDer and it shows other wifi ssids which are much stronger. Usually it lasts for 3 mins or so, and my router's wifi signal recover...

Re: Buffalo WZR hp G300nh Wifi dropouts
Does the dropouts occur for about 3 mins each time before it automatically recovers?

Re: LAN port isolation?
Not really VLANs - much simpler in concept. Similar to "Wireless Client Isolation" which I believe does not involve VLANs? For Thomson Speedtouch ADSL routers, they have a "eth switch group move group=<x> port=<y>" command which is very easy to use. See: http://www.speedtouch.net...

LAN port isolation?
Just wondering - does OpenWRT support LAN port isolation?
i.e. disallow traffic from passing between LAN ports, somewhat like Gargoyle's "wireless client isolation" setting.
If yes, any plans to implement it in future releases? Thanks!

Re: Rules Don't Seem to Work
fyi, just realized that "Save Settings" in other sections (not just Firewall, Access Restrictions) may also require a reboot to ensure proper functioning of the rules.

Re: VOIP router + Gargoyle router
Yes, the VOIP router has 4 x LAN ports - but may I know the rationale behind connecting using a LAN port instead of the WAN port?

VOIP router + Gargoyle router
I've an existing D-Link VOIP router which comes supplied with the service provider, and I've just recently added a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND router upgraded with Gargoyle 1.3.9 for wireless N and gigabit connectivity. Question - for best effect, should the VOIP router be in front or behind the Gargoyle ro...

Re: Occasional wifi signal loss - possible reasons?
Thanks for the tips, will monitor. Memory utilization hovers around 93% (26.8MB / 28.8MB). Default settings except for WPA2/PSK and one regex URL access restriction. Btw, I noticed that with each wifi packet, the WLAN light goes on then off, then on, then off - instead of actually blinking (whereby ...

Occasional wifi signal loss - possible reasons?
What could be the most likely cause of occasional wifi signal loss? I'm currently on TP-Link WR1043ND with 1.3.9. Running fine for about 4 days, but today, it totally lost wifi connectivity, WLAN light was off - had to reboot the router to recover. A couple of hours thereafter, the WLAN light went o...
