Re: Version 1.5.4 & 1.4.7
Hi folks! I'm experiencing the same random wireless dropouts on 1043nd as the others. After a minute or two, I can reconnect. One more tiny problem: If you have two storage drives connected, the swap space is only used if the drive with the swap partition is recognized last. Btw, where can I change ...

Re: wr1043nd usb wifi adapter
I know but I found no info on openwrt.org or other forums.
I thought maybe someone here has faced a similar issue.

wr1043nd usb wifi adapter
Hello Folks! I am trying to get a Ralink rt3070 based usb wifi adapter working. 1.4.4 gargoyle is installed, as well as kmod-rt2800usb and lib, kmod-2x00usb and lib packages. lsusb lists the device, but at boot only phy0 (the internal wifi) gets recognized by ieee80211. wifi detect has no output. (?...

Re: TP-Link TL-WR1043ND wireless issues
Hi!
Which version are you using? What are your wireless settings?
Did you install anything else besides gargoyle (bittorrent, dlna, etc)?
Do other services stop too?

Re: Version 1.3.14
Hi! This version is totally screwed on WR741ND. Something eats up all the CPU, and makes anything you want to do really slow... even routing, so no usable WAN connection.
The previous version was unstable, slowed down in a few days.
But works like a charm on WR1043ND
Thanks for your efforts!

Re: wr1043 crashing with transmission
Hi! The other features don't seem to eat much CPU time according to top. I lowered the number of peers in the transmission config it helped a bit but it seems writing to ntfs ate up 30% of CPU, so I switched to ext3. And now it works :) Thanks for the help! Happy Holidays :D Ps: Don't use rtorrent.....

Re: firewall
Hi!
Behind a router you don't actually need a firewall software on your PC. The router does NAT, SPI, and with a well configured firewall you are way more protected than with "just" a firewall software.

Re: wr1043 crashing with transmission
Hi! I made a 1 GB swap :) and still transmission of rtorrent hangs. I have 80/25 Mbit/s connection but both clients cap at around 500-600KB/s with 100% CPU utilisation. It goes for 10-20 mins this way but then transmission hangs... the router is still accessable and everything else works fine. I don...
