Re: Feature request: Connection uptime
It may do, but as I've got it in bridge mode, using PPPoE to connect, I'm not so sure as the connection is established by Gargoyle. At any rate, it's hard to get at as I have to unplug my network from it and plug in a computer directly...

Feature request: Connection uptime
There was a request for this a while ago, but as far as I can see nothing ever came of it. Just wanted to bring the idea to the fore again. It's pretty useful as here in Australia we're able to change how aggressive the sync settings are on our ADSL ports. If the connection's dropping periodically, ...

Re: Suggestion - time set quotas
No idea about whether this feature is of interest to the developers, but in the meantime perhaps you just cap the dude to his share of daytime quota given he can't be reasonable about it. You could also install transmission or something on the router to do downloads in offpeak and make him use that?

Re: WDS with dual band enabled
I had the idea he now had a DLink DIR-825b? If it's diversity of testing that is at issue, I'd be happy to help by giving it a go on my WNDR3700s (figure that if it works on the dlink it should have at worst minor problems on my gear as they are very similar), but I understand that it's a problem if...

WDS with dual band enabled
Just wondering if further configuration of dual band wireless is a priority for development? I'm currently largely getting around the need for WDS by using DD-WRT in client bridge mode on my second router. This is doing the job for most things, but due to the funny stuff it does to MAC addressing se...

Re: Suggestion: Bittorrent Client
I'm not running it on the router, rather on my Ubuntu server, but transmission is actually pretty easy to use once you set it up. It runs (if you install that component) its own web server, so once you get it going your wife etc. should be able to use it. Try this howto: http://bredsaal.dk/transmiss...

Issues with static assignment of 192.168.1.100 via DHCP
OK, I've been having some issues with DHCP for the last two versions, but now I've narrowed the problem down a little further. The system in question is running Ubuntu server 10.04... There's no issues with getting an IP until I set it up to assign the same IP via DHCP every time. I've set it to ass...

Re: USB Hard Drive Transfer Rate Testing! Come Get Some!
That's interesting to see DoesItMatter. You might also like to test the ext3, and perhaps even ext2 filesystems...on my old NAS, ext2 was significantly faster than ext3 (though obviously slow to recheck if it's not unmounted cleanly). On a system with a relatively limited CPU, using a simpler filesy...

Re: roaming with multiple wired AP's?
I don't have one in front of me to check, but from memory I don't think Gargoyle supports what you want at the moment, as I think you have options to connect via wireless bridging or wds only when you put it into repeater mode. What you actually want (so see if there's a way to do this) is to put it...

Re: Version 1.3.10: Broadcom 2.6, Dual Band N
I have a topic in the general section of the forum about this...probably should have put it in development, but there you go... http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1094 ...it seems that gargoyle's not currently setting the channels list based on any sort of country setting. ...
