Installing Firmware
Ubiquiti firmware recovery method
Requirements
Ubnt Router with power supply
Windows PC with NIC card
Ethernet cable for connection between PC and Ubiquiti router
Network settings of PC: 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0
Install
TFTP client on PC

gargoyle_1.5.8-ar71xx-generic-ubnt-rspro-squashfs-factory.bin
Install Firmware
Power off the router
Press the router reset switch then apply power
Release the reset button after a few seconds
LED's should be flashing to indicate recovery mode
with PC set a fixed IP address 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0
Assuming POE, connect Ethernet cable between “router power supply” and “PC”
(optional) Check router response by pinging from PC command line

Run TFTP server
Select » Tftp Client
Select » Server interface:192.168.1.1 (Note: you need a wired connection to be able to do this)
Enter Host Address:192.168.1.20
Select file to flash gargoyle_1.5.8-ar71xx-generic-ubnt-rspro-squashfs-factory.bin
Click » Put
Wait 10 minutes and router should be flashed with new firmware.
Reset PC NIC back to DHCP then connect PC to LAN port of your router.
You should be able to connect to the gargoyle interface by entering into your browser 192.168.1.1
