A PCRE internal error occured. This might be caused by a faulty plugin

==== Scenario ==== There are a number of PC's in the household but they are rarely backed up to an independent drive because it is a PITA, and we are busy, and we forget. Sooner or later it is going to catch up with us. ==== Objective ==== Create a single place to backup on the LAN which is always there for automatic backups. ==== Prerequisites ==== === Gargoyle router with spare USB port === Hopefully your router has a spare USB port. If not then check out the [[supported_routers_-_tested_routers|Router hardware guide]] for a suitable router. === USB Hard disk drive === Small portable USB hard drives (or a large USB Flash drive) are readily available. Format the USB drive with a single large partition. Create a backup directory and a subdirectory for each pc to be backed up: * backup * pc1 * pc2 * pc3 ==== Backup Hard Drive ==== The USB hard drive should be plugged into the Router's USB port. == Gargoyle - System - USB Storage == ^ Shared Disks ^^ | ☐ Allow Access to FTP From WAN || | CIFS Workgroup: | WORKGROUP | | Disk: \\ Subdirectory: \\ Share Name: \\ Settings Apply to: \\ Share Type(s): \\ CIFS/FTP Anonymous Access: | /dev/sda1 \\ /backup/ \\ backup \\ Only This Specific Drive \\ ☑CIFS ☑FTP ☐NFS \\ Read\Write | ==== Configure Backups ==== === Ubuntu === == System Settings - System - Backups == ^ Storage Location ^^ | Storage location | FTP | | Server | 192.168.1.1 | | Port | | | Folder | /backup/pc1 | | ☐ Username | anonymous | === Windows === FIXME Can anybody remember how to do it in Windows?
