No wifi connection

I'm a relative novice, so keep that in mind.

TP-Link WR1043ND v3 Stopped working this morning. I get power light, the starburst light next to it, but the broadcast light is off and nobody can connect. I can connect if I use the connecting Ethernet cable and connect my laptop directly to the modem.

Here's what I've tried:

Restarting the router by the power button on back
Restarting modem and the router
New Ethernet cable
Different port on the back of the modem for the connecting Ethernet cable

Until this morning everything was brilliant.

Do a failsafe reset on the router.

Loons like the wifi preferences got wiped out. Reset those and Bingo!

It's back down again, exactly like yesterday. A failsafe reset is not really explained for my modem (purchased from here) and I am working with a Mac.

What do you mean they got "wiped out"
Obviously the wifi stops working, but what else looks odd?
Do the settings go blank in the GUI?

A failsafe reset is generic to all routers, you shouldn't need specific instructions. If it has an external button you just follow the video.

You may want to read the rest of that thread when you have time because if a reset does not fix it, I'll be looking for system logs etc which is all explained there.
