Hello,
I have a Linksys wrt160nv3 with dd-wrt mini installed on it at the moment. I need per user quotas, so I would like to give Gargoyle a go. Should I use the wrt150n bin file? Is the flashing procedure the same as for flashing dd-wrt?

I don't think the current Broadcom builds will work on your
WRT160N V3 router - the V3 version needs the DD-WRT K2.6 builds.
I think Gargoyle is running the older Broadcom drivers, so it may
not work. The V3 has a built in recovery mode - so you MIGHT be
able to try flashing, but BE WARNED that it could brick the device
since it may not have correct switch drivers in there.
Suggestion: WAIT - don't try to flash yet with Gargoyle.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Do you mean that there may be a Gargoyle release suitable for the 160nv3 in the near future?
At the moment I am using wrtbwmon on my router to log users activity, and I shut them down manually when they abuse the connection, but it'd be great to be able to automate the process...

Yes, there could be in the near future.
Best to check is OpenWRT forums to see what support is like.
If you look in DD-WRT's hardware database, you'll see the WRT160
had 3 versions
V1 was earlier Broadcom version with 4MB Flash/16MB Ram
V2 was RaLink chipset (no support for dd-wrt or openwrt)
V3 was Broadcom newer version with 4MB Flas/32MB Ram
The V1 used 2.4 Broadcom Drivers
The V3 needs 2.6 Broadcom Drivers

Looks like its a work in progress - i.e. WAIT...
