NETGEAR WNDR3800 no internet

Have had my wndr3800 running 1.9.1 for a few months, no dramas, then couple of days ago it was constantly rebooting and in logs doing some sort of repair. I reflashed and reset gargoyle and it appeared to fix it.
However, the modem cannot get the the internet now, if I try to refresh plugins or if wifi clients gateway point to the router it wont connect outside.

Any ideas where to begin as its setup identical prior to it having a dummy spit and now wont fully work.

Is there another way to install plugins as I really want the wifi shcedule and log plugin installed.

thanks

fail safe reset

you might want to try 1.9.x (most stable gargoyle firmware ever)

digging up this old thread, is there anyway to manually install plugins? I really want the wifi schedule but have no idea why the modem cannot see the internet, connected wifi clients work fine.

thanks

What is your network setup? More than likely your internet connection is not traversing the WAN interface and therefore no plugins.

wan is setup wired static, it should all be correct (it used to work) but I am at a loss why it doesnt work now. The wifi clients can connect to the wan so weird that gargoyle cannot..

They need to be on different subnets is problem # 1.
If you can move your LAN to 192.168.0.x that would be a good step to fixing everything.

I changed the LAN to 192.168.0.x subnet but still the modem cannot connect to the internet to update plugins etc I only use the netgear for wifi clients hence wanting the wifi scheduler plugin.

Is it possible there are residual issues with the modem from when it previously crapped itself? I have reset settings a few times but always the same issue. A ubiquity AP is looking like my only alternative if I cant revive gargoyle.

if all else fails try a failsafe reset

sometimes the config becomes damaged?
