I have WR841ND router (Atheros) with Gargoyle 1.3.7
Operating mode: AP+WDS

Successfully connected to this router WR1043ND Router and WA801ND Access Point. All two use stock firmware from TP-Link.

#ifconfig

Code: Select all

wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr D8:5D:4C:BF:25:B4

#iwconfig

Code: Select all

wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn Mode:Master Frequency:2.432 GHz Tx-Power=27 dBm
          RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:on

mon.wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn Mode:Monitor Tx-Power=27 dBm

          Power Management:off

wlan0.sta1 IEEE 802.11bgn Mode:Secondary Tx-Power=27 dBm
          RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off

wlan0.sta2 IEEE 802.11bgn Mode:Secondary Tx-Power=27 dBm
          RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
Than I go to Status - Connected Hosts, and check Connected Wireless Hosts.

And there is ... nothing!
So it looks like there are no wireless connection to this router, while there are at least two links established.

What module should I use to check that actual WDS connection is established, and (if possible) current link status (RSSI, bitrate, etc.)?

Thank you for explanation on subject.
