Disconnections when quota limit switched on

I have a TP-link wr1043n running gargoyle 1.9.0.2. When I have quotas turned on (and at the moment just a single limit for total up/download per day) there seems to be many disconnections. Every couple of minutes. Memory usage on the router is just 19MB out of 60MB.
Any suggestions?

Please upgrade to 1.9.1 at the least.
1.9.0.2 is a release version done by our Polish friends, and I'm not aware of the specific changes.

I was about to do this when I remembered that mine is a V3.
The reason I had the 1.9.0.2 was to get around this when I first got the router.
Is there still no official version for V3?
