Hi there.
I don't know much about gargoyle routers, but do you think it would be fine to plug a gargoyle router into a network with about 100 users? Do you simply plug it in between the gigabit modem and the existing network router?

Depends............

- Data usage
- Gargoyle features used

I know it can 50 no problem, but that network is not under heavy load.

If your network is under heavy load you would need to get the most power full router you can find.

What powerful routers is gargoyle firmware compatible with?

Hi what router do you have you mite be able to flash the one you have with Gargoyle. The fastest router you can flash Gargoyle on is the Linksys WRT1900AC unles you go for a PC baste router which we call a x86 build..

Going down the x86 router root is not as simple as just getting a Linksys WRT1900AC tho.

In my opinion the C7 might be your next best option

I highly doubt it will be compatible with gargoyle. It seems like the Linksys WRT1900AC would be a great deal faster than this, too. Is the C7 a linksys router? I guess anything that matches the H3C speed would be fine. The speed of our connection is currently good, the boss just wants bandwidth monitoring.

The H3C ER3100 spec has 64mb ram and 8mb flash.

+1 for the c7 but how much load will be on the router because if you have a verry hi load then the wrt1900AC will cope better.

EG if you have a connection over 100 meg then the c7 mite struggle. I do like the c7 by the way and have had up to 50 users on it and i have 70 meg down and 7 up.
