Bandwidth usage seems wrong

I'm a week into Gargoyle, but think there might be an issue here. I am using a wired client, downloading a file. It seems to be going slow, so I open Gargoyle to see what's happing.

Image

The download says around 130kb/s... but the graph is showing pretty close to zero. Am I reading this wrong, or is there an issue?

Full version of the image here:

I've also noted that websites I browse to are often not reflecting on the page that shows 'web usage'. Maybe related?

I'm in full bridge mode, using a WR1043ND V3 with 1.9.0

I'm in full bridge mode
Might this be the problem?

Its my understanding that the only data recorded is the data that goes through the firewall?

It should work fine.

Let's discuss your setup in detail.

Please post a screenshot of your Connection Basic page and a brief description or photo of how gargoyle and the modem are connected (which ports etc).

Here's my start page from my router:

and maybe this is useful?

With regards connectivity, I am running an Archer D7, no ADSL connection information on it. So, this is part of the full-bridge setup. It's on 192.168.0.1

There is a WAN IN cable from the wall, and then from one of the 4 gigabit LAN ports out, I have a cable to the WAN IN on the router.

From there, I have 4 LAN ports connected to nearby devices. 1 x SIP Phone base station, 2 x Desktop PCs and 1 x Ethernet over Power plug.

I am currently having very slow internet issues. Strange thing is, browsing seems fine, but my Usenet connection has dropped from around 600Kb/s, to between 0 and 15Kb/s. A speed test shows that I get around 200kb/s, when I used to be around 750Kb/s. But this went down around 4 days ago... I got the router around 2 weeks ago, so not sure the speed issue is related.

I am running QOS.

QOS Download settings:

QOS Upload Settings:

I have tried to disable these, but no changes. The QOS actually works quite well. I might disable it for longer than the 2 minutes I tried though.

Sorry no photo - at work now. If you still need, I'll do tonight.

Everything looks good.
Something rings a bell that with the modified v3 image someone couldn't get part of the firewall working properly. Because this graph runs through the firewall, this rings alarm bells for me.

Are you open to upgrading to the latest 1.9.X?

Ah, ok.
I notice that the Web usage lost has stopped. Last reported Web site was mid day yesterday.

I can upgrade, no problems.
Has the firmware id upgrade to, been done on other V3s, or will thus be Guinea pig stuff?

And do o lose all my settings?

I can see one report from a v3.

Shouldn't be an issue to keep settings as far as I can see.
Worth doing a backup as always.

Woah woah woah hold up.

Why is the graph set to "host name Gargoyle"
Shouldn't it be set to the device you're trying to monitor?

Wow, good spot! NO idea what that was selected in the screen shot. I have remote access from work. I'm going to check it out. Excellent spot though! :geek:
