v3.0 of TL-WR1043ND?

Hi. We have been doing 1.8.1 on TP-LINK's TL-WR1043ND, version 2.1. Not realizing there was a newer version, we accidentally bought some version 3.0 routers. I took the risk of trying to upload the firmware meant for version 2.1, but I simply receive a message from the router saying that the firmware has not been loaded because the version is not correct. Does anyone know if there is a hack for that, or if a build for 3.0 is upcoming? Thank you much. I'm having some trouble finding the original documentation I looked at pertaining to this architecture.

Support for it is probably 6 months away.
Something went poorly when I attempted to produce an official image.

Others are reporting success with the files in that thread.

Thank you Lantis. Did you still have an unofficial image available? I see that http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_custom/ has been hidden/deleted. The other builds on that thread did not work for me (18005 error).

If not, I'll try downgrading to V2 first as was suggested in the thread.

There was a small problem with that build. Something didn't work properly.

I'll try and produce a new image over the weekend.
That being said, if the downgrade method works for you, any "official" image produced will give no benefits except that the name of the router will appear correctly.
