Access 2 subnets on 1 LAN?

Hi all,

I have need to change my LAN IP range (subnet) from 192.168.1.x to 1.1.1.x. I need some advice from anyone that might know if it's possible to setup the gargoyle router to temporarily route traffic for the new 1.1.1.x range to/from the old and retiring 192.168.1.x network.

This would allow the migrating of all clients and server scripts gradually over time, changing the hardcoded old 192.168.1.x references to the new 1.1.1.x references whilst having the ability to test network functionality has been retained and quickly revert should things go wrong.

I am wondering if this could be done by software in the Gargoyle router? I thought about opening up the subnet mask but since the ip range of 1.1.1.x is so far away from 192.168.1.x I am concerned of the implications of doing so? (0.0.0.0?) Is there a better way by keeping the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and then configuring the gargoyle router to forward ips between the 2 ranges? if so, how?

Any input is much appreciated.

Thanks
